Notwithstanding the derivative nature of the plates, as hand-colored stipple prints they are exquisite, with color that to this day springs off the page and delights. Leather on spine is dried out. Some rubbing of extremities and along gutter areas. Boards' leather still healthy. Some cracking of spine in a few signature openings, including by the title. Still, binding is tight, and notwithstanding some minor scattered soiling of leaves, text and plates overall quite clean and fresh. Gilt foreedges.
