26 tinted plates, each measuring 21.5 by 14 inches, or 54 by 34 cm, of Bruges, Heidelberg, Nuremburg, Cologne, Liege, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Louvain, Antwerp, Munich, Oudenarde, Treves, etc. The inclusion of Austrian cities might seem anomalous, but it should be realized that Germany as a modern nation was not yet in existence and so the designation of "Germany" in the title referred to areas where German was the predominant language. Rebacked with red morocco. Boards have considerable wear, with marbled paper pastedown suffering some abrasion losses and heavy edgewear. The plates are on card thick paper. Light occasional foxing in margins. With bookplate of library on FEP and a small embossed stamp on title from same. Otherwise no evidence of ex-lib.

Price = 750.00 USD
