Hand-painted cover, making this an unique copy and fine specimen of cover art. Miniature painting of ships and iceberg? framed and pine and tropical tree above and below, all done on canvas over boards. Otherwise pleasant period verses relating to travel by Sea, with descriptions of Versuvius highlighted, and many woodcut illustrations, representing about half the space. Only printed on recto. 8vo, 7 by 6 inches. Some shelfwear, and slight bowing to boards. Clean inside and tight.
