Schaufenster-Dekorationen für das Fleischergewerbe
1 Schaufenster-Dekorationen für das Fleischergewerbe
Berlin Allgemeine Fleischer-Zeitung Actien-Gesellschaft 1930 Cloth Very Good
Oblong 4to, 23 by 30 cm. 96 pp. 40 color plates (these are counted in page numeration). Gorgeous illustrations of ideal window displays of meats, butchered and cold cuts, such as one might expect to find at the finest of gourmet shops. Scarce, with a single institutional copy located on OCLC at the Stadtbibliothek in Braunschweig. (There are a few copies of an earlier version of this book, but this version was substantially different, with fewer illustrations, and the illustrations assuredly different.) The text block is loose. Otherwise, clean, appealing copy.

2 The C.A.M.P. Cookbook. Lady Agatha in Conspiracy with Don Holliday A Pleasure Reader. Adult Reading.
San Diego Phenix Publishers 1969 Softcover Fine
Written in the Queen's English! It may have come out the year of Stonewall, but in the kitchen, there was total liberation already! Lots of opinions amid the double ententres! Past these, some real nuts and bolts for the novice chef. A copy that appears untouched! Heavy age toning of the leaves, to be expected, the poor quality paper stock used. Otherwise, tight, and pristine for a paperback.

3 The Evolution of an Apple Pie
Chicago The N.K. Fairbank Company 1898 First edition Wraos Fine
Scarce culinary pamphlet, listed on OCLC but with no library holding identified. 16mo. 11 by 8 cm. 12pp. Chromolithographic color illustrations, including on stapled wrapper cover. Advertising pamphlet for cottolene, a baking substitute for butter and lard and made from cottonseed oil and beef suet. Running through the pamphlet is a verse tale describes the steps in creating an apple pie, starting with the fruit on the tree and ending with the pie being served. About half of the pamphlet is devoted to short articles on the applications of cottolene or recipes, including ones for pie crust, apple pie, rhubarb pie, lemon pie, coconut pie and cream pie. These recipes are attributed to women, presumably consumers of the product. And filling out the promotional dimension of the pamphlet are a few testimonials.
