4to. 30 by 23 cm. 2 pages of intro text, here given in Spanish, followed by 12 color plates of facades with different colored paints. The plates are strikingly attractive, and we would say transcend the promotional function for which they were designed, with their pretty and venturesome color combinationsg. The facades represent a broad range of the styles one would have found in Augsburg, or any German city, at the time -- half-timbered Medieval, Rococo and Neo-classical, and modernist Art Deco and Bauhaus, and they also run from modest residence to rather palatial and grandiose. Scarce. Copies held by five institutions according to OCLC FIrst Search: the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek zu Berlin, Bruanschweig, Hannover, Met Museum, Yale, Darmstadt. (No others picked up on KVK.) Condition: edge wear along wrap edges. Light soiling of the orange thin card of these wraps.
