With time on our hands during the Coronavirus lockdown, we are reviewing the prices of some of our older stock and adjusting prices of books to ensure that they are the most attractive offering in the marketplace, as it is a reality of the antiquarian market for books that less expensive and mid-level material the trend has been inexorably downward, to the chagrin of booksellers and to the benefit of collectors.  Consequently, we have slashed prices anywhere between 20 percent and 60 percent of these books we have had listed for five years or more.  So we hope that anyone visiting the site might find something that might have become overpriced but now legitimately qualifies as a bargain.

ULK Wochenschrift der Berliner Volks-Zeitung. [Or: Wochenbeilage zur Berliner Volkszeitung]
1 ULK Wochenschrift der Berliner Volks-Zeitung. [Or: Wochenbeilage zur Berliner Volkszeitung]
Berlin Druck und Verlag von Rudolf Mosse 1921 First Edition Cloth Very Good
The entire 1921 year run of this left-leaning humor weekly, or 51 issues, bound in cloth. The supplement to the Volkszeitung or Tageblatt was issued from 1872 to 1933, when the Jewish owned publication was terminated. 4to, 30.5 by 22.5 cm. Each issue is four pages, with generally one color (red, green, blue, etc.), occasionally two colors, enriching the black and white illustrations on the front and rear of each issue. The cover features one large illustration, with the back sometimes a single large illustration, sometimes several cells of a cartoon. Plenty of caricatures, cartoons and humorous drawings within as well. The publication was printed on highly acidic newspaper stock and so the pages are heavily toned. Otherwise clean. Soiling to the cloth cover, which remains attractive nonetheless.

[Political][Movable] You can pick the Winner. Pick Selz Shoes. They Win Every Time. To find THE WINNER move card very slowly. If Selz Shoes were Candidates They'd be elected every time.

NA Very Good
As one pushes or pulls a side tab, the image morphs from one candidate in the four man Presidential contest of 1912 as if on a television screen. The morphing figures are Woodrow Wilson, Howard H. Taft, Theodore Roosevelt and Eugene Debs. The card is postcard sized: 9 by 14 cm. The mechanism works but can be a little fussy initially. Light soiling to the card.
