12mo. 16.5 by 13.5 cm. 70 pp., plus 60 plates of maps depicting primarily army positions and maneuvers and fortifications. "Translated from a work which was published at Berlin, under the auspices of General Czetteritz, without any date but it is suposed to have been written a few years subsequent to the peace of 1763." Condition: missing plate 26 and a duplicate copy of plate 34 placed where 26 should be. (Disorderly compilation was apparently rife with the printing of this book, and generally copies are missing one or more plates in a similar fashion.) Full calf binding is rough, wiht significant rubbing, some drying of the leather, chips to the spine label. Tissue guards are generally eaten around their edges and are foxed. The pages proper are age toned but read clean, with occasional light soiling.
