A series of illustrations, designed and executed more than a century prior to 1911 by Catharine Shephard of Virginia and presented to her favorite neice, we are told on the title page. This is a reproduction of the "treasured heirloom" and a charming specimen of fin-de-siecle nostalgia for the Early Republic, the Georgian and Regency Eras. Bound together with a ribbon.
