The paintings have a disarming naive quality. Yet in our view the paintings have more color and detail than the average such album of this size (larger format pictures tend to be more nuanced when it comes to this genre). The silk patterned cover has had its joints repaired. The usual amount of fissures, or tears, to the pith paper. Most of the paintings have no or very light defects of this type.
